This is fascinating theory. I didn't know where else to put this but it does have a serious effect on long term investing trends so this fits.

If you have never heard of this it is really fascinating and has been quite accurate in its predictions. It is derived from hundreds of years of research and does make a lot of sense

The theory I heard about economic cycles tells of typical economic cycles lasting around 80-something years, with each cycle composed of growth, stagnation, collapse and recovery. So four phases of the cycle, 80 years, 20 years per stage.
Kinda goes in hand with the turnings he talks about.

Yes, I think they are pretty closely linked
