3 days after activating my ad I've received ~430 views.

Yes, me too. It's going to take a while to deliver those 100k views  Smiley

Lately I've been facing an adblock issue on YGP.. Even though I've disabled my adblockers YGP still doesn't show ads up..

So, I use the following way to display them.
While on the view ads page using Chrome on a Desktop/Laptop:

(I'll just link to the images since they're huge and will make it messy here)
  1. Right click on the "Paid To Click Ads" and select "Inspect".
  2. Click one of the following lines that start with "<div " and are marked with class="ad-block ".
  3. Find the rule to the right that starts with ":root .ad-block" and states: "display: none !important;" and uncheck it.
  4. Notice it gets striked through and click F12 (or close the development console window using its "X" button)

The ads should now show up.. don't refresh, browse elsewhere or close the YGP ads page because you'll have to repeat the process. Just complete your ads clicking routine normally (Click ad => view it on new tab => close the new tab => click the next ad etc.).

The process should be similar in Firefox or other browsers as well.. mobile browsers still don't support the developer console as far as I know.

I'm not having a problem with FF but I don't use AdBlock there, only NoScript

On the other hand, at least it's a cheap advertising option etc. $3.5 per 10000 views..
That's s an interesting way of using our locked in funds, so there's still something positive about the new feature.

This is a good point. I might try it for that. Especially since it will be promoted on many other sites

Quote:
The rules are pretty simple, do not break any of them:

Do not advertise on PTP sites, Rotators, Auto surfs or
any website that has similar features
!
Do not use iframes, cloak the links, fake referrers or use VPN/Proxies to send visits.
If your score gets too low, your PTP url will be blocked.
If you break any of these rules you will be suspended!
If you doubt the source you want to use, ask support to verify first.

Sounds a bit too risky.. if you have anything on the site to lose..

PTP Sites.. does that mean PTP only(?) sites or sites that also offer a PTP section or PTP advertising?

Rotators, ok that's clear enough..

Auto surfs, that's legit to block.

Any website that has similar features?!  Huh All GPT websites have similar features.. that's way too generic and sounds like an excuse to shut down some accounts..

Iframes, understandable, they don't want to reduce their traffic quality (though they don't care about the quality of their own advertising as long as it makes them money.. javascript click popups, popunders.. but they do care when you advertise them..)

Cloack the links.. this sounds like they don't want anyone else than them to be able to track what kind of traffic they send to the PTP. This way they can say we only received X actual visits leaving you without proof in case you've sent them 10x that number..

fake referrers, ok that's normal to ask for.

use VPN/Proxies.. so people that actually pay for VPN for security purposes are left out right from the start..

score, ok though they don't state what factors exactly affect the score, this is normal as well.

If you break any of these rules you will be suspended!... so.. the score has nothing to do with these "rules"? They just go ahead and suspend your account?!.. Well I wouldn't play around with this sharp toy.. Better to ask them about every single source having them verify it prior to using it..

On the other hand, at least it's a cheap advertising option etc. $3.5 per 10000 views..
That's s an interesting way of using our locked in funds, so there's still something positive about the new feature.

The worst of all is their attitude..

They've use us as their own kickstarter.. then deviate from everything they've promised to the people that supported them.

No wonder why they get so much hate.. and all they do is just shut down the communication channels so they don't get bothered at all.

Whatever.. I'll just place my withdrawals and let it be.. if anything comes out of it it will be a pleasant surprise anyways.

And that is why the whole industry is doing so poorly. More and more people are understanding that these sites are long term scams and are walking away never to return.

I may be wasting my time by doing it this way but at least I'm not taking money from people by selling a false dream. If I don't make money long term then so be it. And to hell with those scammy owners

I joined one of those team promote things and was also not very impressed. They were there obviously to sell co-op advertising and get you into their system of overpriced marketing materials

I joined under the free trial. I was prepared to go the route of paying for my membership but the site just doesn't seem very turnkey for the average person

So after all these years I finally decided to dive into traffic wave. I have a site that doesn't accept PTC sites so I need to put something in there. What stood out to me is that their marketing pages do not have lead capture pages or lead capture splash pages etc. At least not that I could find. You know I try to be thorough when checking out an opp so as to find marketing advantages that others might not pick up on.

Isn't it a little odd that an autoresponder site does not have a good lead capture page system? They have been online for years and they haven't created one? They also have very mediocre, uncompelling banners and the first thing that you see when you click on the link is the price tag of $17 per month. No soft sell there.

So no, I'm not going to be pursuing this as a marketer

Rules seem a little strict. I wonder how easy it is to get 'suspended'?
