So they changed their minds after getting at least one more contract extension. We are still fired but they gave us the opportunity to become independent contractors. The job is there, it changes a bit - some for the better, some for the worse - and I have to take on a bunch of debt to buy equipment. I'm not too happy about it but I still have a job. That buys me time so I'll take it for now.

A nice bonus is that because they had to fire us to make us ICs, they have to pay out severance to us. So that will help with some of that debt and my new expenses

So hope springs eternal!

Phew

So, there are still positives in between the negatives..

I really feel you will figure it out and make things work based on the new circumstances.

You've been an ideas generator around here, so I do believe you will succeed now as an IC, just as well.  Smiley

Either way, I wish you all the best!

Yes, I'm almost at the 20 million BAP level and have seen some good results advertising R4A and BestE there. So anything they can do to improve that is welcome.

Have you tried the cheap ads BTW? $9 for 4000 hits and pretty responsive. If they don't get delivered in 14 days you automatically get refunded the views that didn't show. Since I'm getting the ads via my earnings, that's 4000 hits every few days, so any money and referral I make on top is gravy

Hmm.. actually that's not bad.. Smiley

It is another good feature to have.

Whereas other sites make it harder and harder for us to convert our balances to actual cash and withdraw it, this shows they are confident that they are able to pay anytime.

So now I'm actually thinking that my balance is safer "in" so I don't feel like withdrawing anything.. Grin

It's definitely a good thing and maybe it will move the market a bit faster but it was funny that we were expecting something big and not a fix like this. But this could be something that grows into a significant benefit for the site

There is a great deal on shares right now with them trading between .0007 and .0008. Those will convert to BAP at four almost instantly. So if you bought $1 worth of shares at .0008 and converted at 4. you would get this:

$1/.0008 = 1250
1250 * 4 = 5000
5000 * .95 (the BAP transaction tax) = 4750
4750 * .0005(the minimum values for BAP) = 2.375

So for every dollar you can convert into shares and into BAP, you can turn it into $2.375 which is fantastic. That's a 137.5% ROI

I'm currently testing some advertising features of theirs for R4A.

I've run a fixed ad campaign I got with an auction at $4 for spot #2 which is run the top right BAP ad.

My results are the following:

Visits Delivered:      12225
Ad issued:      25399 times
Recycled:      0 times

On the R4A side, I have these stats:

10,362 valid
348 invalid

..for the day that the campaign was running (traffic just from Paidverts.com).

However, I'm also running a grid ad campaign at the same time for 3 months, so there's no easy way to separate those visits.
The fixed ad should must have delivered a bit more than 10000 valid visits.

This translates to ~$2.5 but also got me 2 new referrals out of which one is active.

If I had booked the spot @$2 it would be a better bang for buck..
Also, I did run the campaign during the weekend, so the results should be a bit better during business days, shouldn't they?
And I would have to check how spot #1 performs, if I ever get a chance for a good bid.

The grid ad on the other hand proves to be a good value for money option.
There is a pack that costs $6 per 90 days and delivers ~600 visits daily (It's still early to make calculations though as it's been running for 3 days so far).
That equals a summary of ~54000 visits that would convert to $13.5 on R4A.

Again, these are low amounts but if scalling was applied it would be a good more than 2x ROI.

Those are good numbers. I was using the cheap traffic but it is only 4k hits for $9. It does give me referrals though and it is 'free' money from my paidverts earnings so it's still good that way

I wonder if both of us advertising on the same ad platform would lower results?

I don't think so.. the site has so many users, plus even if we both get the exact same people to visit our links, we will both be credited for them as unique..

As for referrals it's another story.. that's not even measurable I think.. Smiley
So, there's no problem in my opinion..

Besides I could still use your stats to get a better view of how our campaings perform in different cases (provided you share them).
We all get better insight and motivate more people by sharing our results, so why not..?
