odd little site - whatstuff.co.uk
27th Jan, 2014 at 1:36am

I think I advertised on this a long time ago because I keep getting the occasional email from them. This is why it makes sense to not purge emails and members. After over a year from being away from this site, I'm thinking about advertising again after being nudged by another email from them. At least as a test. They are offering banners and PTP for 3.99 per month. I think that is worth the risk

They also have a PTP offer if anyone is interested but the payout is pretty low

Back on that superhero kick again huh?  Grin

Actually, they did just switch over to a new server or something like that. Maybe the new company couldn't handle the server load. That is a good sign from an advertising perspective at least. I'll keep an eye on it and let you all know if it comes back

There somehow has to be a sequel, doesn't there..?

So, is this delivering banner impressions through PTP?
Can we simply earn money through displaying their banner, like in refban?

Both via their banner and their PTP page. The rate isn't very high though. It might be a good ad site if the hits are high enough. I have a tracker on my splash page now so we'll soon know

A unique visit is 30-day per IP? It doesn't suprise me that the PTP is low.
This gives me a new-found appreciation for those french PTP sites where it's one IP per 24 hours.

What? Did you see that in the terms somewhere? That is bad. Almost as bad as webbizinsider. I guess this will just stay an ad site(assuming they approve my ad)  Undecided

OK, I'm counting this as a flop. I put in my ad on the 28th, got confirmation that it was going to start. Then got another confirmation after nothing. Still no hits to my ad page after that time. I just cancelled my subscription. I'll let the $3.99 be charity. He could have made so much more but it is such a tiny amount and clearly he needs it more than I do.

Recommendtation: AVOID!
