Correction. They didn't. They must have made a mistake and started things early

Rings any bells?  Grin

Anyways, it seems people like the crowdfunding platform. Will they start paying after they receive the miner?

The idea that the project goes beyond normal withdrawal rules makes it interesting.
However, will they stick to their promises this time?  Huh

So it's half a year to break even. After that you are playing with their money. I think the price of the coin will be a factor even if he says it won't but with the price of the crypto dropping maybe rigs will get cheaper and he can buy more or pay less for the ones he has gotten

Have you considered mining SS?

Yeap, it's a really hot topic lately.. ...which makes me wonder why we don't have a separate section dedicated to that..  Grin

Ok, so created a new section regarding cryptos, moved related topics to it, and I'll continue my mining experience here:

What do you think SS?

Not the best of ideas since it only uses CPU mining which is really slow.

If you would like to try it, better not do so on a laptop because due to poor temperature management it will probably end up dead much earlier than normal.
To also be able to use the computer and prevent it from hanging you should also not use the total amount of threads available in the CPU.
If it's a quad core with 8 threads then use only 6 or 7 or use 70-80% of all threads, you'll have to use an application to keep an eye on your CPU's temperature levels.

However CPU mining is not that effective generally..
Etc, on my Phenom II 965 @ 3.75 GHz quad-core I get a bit less than 40 H/s with 4 threads.

When running with my GPU I was getting ~800 H/s and the earnings using a pool were still too little to justify the efforts.. we're talking about less than $0.50 valued coins per day, and it's kind of random.

Plus the driver kept on crashing, so I couldn't use my PC while mining and I had to restart the application every once in a while.

I quit because I didn't wanna kill my graphics card cause that's too precious to lose.. Smiley

It's an easy way to try it though without the hassle of setting it up and see how profitable it is [..not]...  Grin

I will let it run for a while since I'm not home right now just for the fun of it.

I think I'll pass. I was trying it for a few minutes and was getting a whopping 5 H/s with 0 confirms  Smiley

So after, 3.5 hours it made me 419584 hashes that earned me $0.00164.. that's nearly 0,00047 per hour or 0,01128 per 24 hours..

I'm quite sure burning ~250W for 24 hours will cost much more than that..  Grin

I just made a request from the crowdfunding. You can request every 7 days and it usually takes a few days to pay out. My last request is still pending so this is a bit concerning. I've heard rumors that crypto prices have dropped to the point miners can't make money due to the cost of electricity and hardware. I don't know about electricity costs where they are

The only difference I made this time for the payout was to ask for payza but, all things being equal, that shouldn't make a difference because they still need to pay out in more crypto. This time I went back to a crypto request so we will see where that goes

I think when they ended the share program there, they disrupted their cash flow and the crowdfunding is not making up the difference.

I've only received back 15% of what I have put in
